What a product page needs to make people buy

The product page is the only page where the purchase decision is made. Everything else just leads to it. That is why every element here either helps people buy or gets in the way.

First screen

What the shopper should see right away

Photos and price. No scrolling, on any device. A hidden price means a lost order.
Availability. Be specific: "in stock" or "on order, 5–7 days". A vague "please inquire" leaves the shopper guessing.
Buy button. Visible, high-contrast, within the first screen.
Delivery terms. At least briefly: how much it costs and how many days it takes. This is the second question after price.

An answer to the question "Will this work for me?" The specifications already live in the table.

Reviews

Even a few are a stronger argument than any text from the store.

What removes doubts

Warranty and returns. Briefly and right on the product page, in plain sight. Few shoppers dig through the footer for it.
Payment methods. Icons of payment systems and of installment payments, if you offer them.
Contact for questions. A phone number or messenger next to the button – for those who do not buy without asking first.
