Integration with WayForPay for a website and online store

WayForPay integration adds card payment to your website through the service's payment page or widget, plus payment invoices sent by link. The buyer pays in a few taps, and the payment status goes to the order card automatically. It suits stores and services with prepayment and with invoice payment. The available features depend on your contract, and we agree on them with you before we start.

  • a payment page or payment widget in the cart;
  • a payment invoice by link for phone orders;
  • server-side signing of requests with the merchant key;
  • a server notification of the payment result;
  • automatic order status changes;
  • recurring payments for subscriptions, if your plan includes them.

WayForPay integration: payment in the cart and by link

Buyers and service clients pay wherever it suits them: in the website cart, on a service page or via a link sent by a manager. WayForPay integration for a website covers several of these cases with one connection, if your business needs it.

The request to connect WayForPay to an online store often comes from owners who take orders both on the website and by phone or messenger. The manager sends an invoice with a payment link, and the client pays it from a smartphone, if your plan includes this option.

What the WayForPay integration includes

  • a payment page or widget with the order parameters;
  • signing of every request with the merchant's secret key;
  • receiving the server notification with signature verification;
  • statuses: awaiting payment, paid, declined, refunded;
  • invoices by link for manual orders;
  • a unique payment number for every payment attempt;
  • result pages explaining what to do next.

We connect recurring payments and other additional features only when your contract supports them. We test each feature separately with a trial payment, so that in live mode the amount and status match the order.

How we connect WayForPay

  1. You register with the service, add your website and pass verification.
  2. You send us the merchant ID and secret key in a secure way.
  3. We set up the payment flow: for Horoshop we first check whether the service is among the available online payment methods; for WordPress and custom websites we connect a module or the API.
  4. We add result pages and e-mails to the buyer.
  5. We run test payments: successful, declined, repeated.

Timelines depend on the platform and the payment flows; the basic option fits into a few working days.

Cost of WayForPay integration

We calculate the cost after a free consultation, because it depends on the platform, the number of payment methods and additional features. We check the service fees, payout terms and website requirements against WayForPay's current terms before work starts; the provisions of the law apply. If you do not have a store yet, a launch starts from $500: turnkey ready-made stores and a template-based website. You can contact us on the Contacts page.

Questions and answers

How does a payment page differ from a widget?

The page opens separately, while the widget shows the payment form on top of the website. We decide which option is available and more convenient after reviewing the terms of your contract.

Can I send a client an invoice without the cart?

If your plan includes invoices by link, the manager sends the client a link, and the payment goes to the order in the same way.

Why a unique payment number?

Every payment attempt has its own number, so that payments do not get mixed up and the website matches them with orders correctly. We generate the numbers automatically.

What data do you need from me?

The merchant ID, the secret key, the website domain and the pages with payment, delivery and return terms. We clarify the rest along the way.
