Moving a store from Tilda to Horoshop

Moving a store from Tilda to Horoshop moves a website with a catalog built from blocks to an online store platform with sections, filters, a cart and a customer account. Products, texts and page URLs move over according to a mapping of old and new URLs.

  • products from the Tilda catalog: titles, prices, SKUs, descriptions, photos, variants and parameters;
  • sections and filters are built in the Horoshop admin panel based on product specifications;
  • product card URLs like /tproduct/… and catalog pages get redirects;
  • the about, delivery and payment pages become information pages;
  • requests from Tilda forms are exported to an archive;
  • payment, delivery, feeds and analytics are connected to the new store.

How the move from Tilda to Horoshop works

Owners search for moving a store from Tilda to Horoshop when the catalog outgrows the blocks: there are many products, and they need filters, a choice of size or color, stock tracking and orders without manual processing of requests. Tilda pages are assembled from blocks, so the site structure is free-form, and it has to be turned into a section tree.

The Tilda catalog is usually exported as a spreadsheet from the account, and during the audit we check which fields your particular project outputs. Descriptions, additional photos and specifications that sit in page blocks are added from the website pages. Product cards in the Tilda catalog have URLs like /tproduct/…, and we include them in the redirect map.

What we move from Tilda and what we rebuild

  • products with titles, prices, SKUs, descriptions and photos – via import from Excel;
  • we create sections by hand in the Horoshop admin panel based on the menu and categories of the Tilda website;
  • we split product parameters (size, color, material) into product variants and specifications for filters;
  • page SEO fields: title, description, H1 and image captions;
  • texts about the company, delivery and payment – as information pages;
  • we recreate the design made in Zero Block with blocks of the Horoshop editor.

We keep requests from forms and payments as an export from the Tilda account. We replace the payment services connected to Tilda with Horoshop's built-in online payments, and Horoshop charges no platform commission on sales: you pay only the commission of your payment provider.

How we work and what we need from you

  1. website audit: catalog in blocks, pages with traffic, forms and payments;
  2. designing the section tree and the URL map;
  3. creating sections, importing products, setting up filters;
  4. design, payment, delivery, feeds, pixels and analytics;
  5. a test order, DNS change, indexing check.

We need access to the Tilda account, a catalog export, access to the domain, Search Console and Analytics. The timeline depends on the number of products and on how structured the catalog data is, and we name it after the audit.

Cost of migration from Tilda and terms

We determine the cost after a free consultation and an audit and write it into a fixed-price contract. The domain and admin panel belong to you, and the Horoshop plan is paid separately. The stages of a general migration are described on the "Moving a store to the Horoshop platform" page, an SEO audit helps assess the traffic of the old website, and you can send questions via contacts.

Questions and answers

Do I need Horoshop if Tilda already has a catalog?

The Tilda catalog suits a small product range. When there are many products, it is more convenient to manage them in a dedicated admin panel with bulk actions, import from Excel and filters.

What happens to the /tproduct/ URLs?

Each such URL gets a match among the new product cards and leads to it via a 301 redirect. We take the list of URLs from the sitemap and Search Console.

Will the website design be kept?

We keep the brand colors, fonts, logo and the overall logic of the pages. An exact copy is impossible: the blocks of the Horoshop editor differ from Zero Block.

Do I need to shut down the Tilda website?

The Tilda website keeps working while we build the store on Horoshop. We switch the domain after a test order.
